E-invoicing has transformed the way businesses handle invoices. Machines can now understand invoicing syntax thanks to the introduction of standard frameworks and UBL documents. Some portals, however, remain and cannot always be replaced. Companies have three options:
- Implement standards first
- Convert flows to standard interrupt flows
- Return to the account manager to determine whether manually entering the invoice or automating with a service provider is worth it.
The goal is to concentrate on the standard and migrate as soon as possible to it in order to automate the remaining legacy portals.
